Loch Sunart Explorer - 11th September 2012
Loch Sunart Explorer passengers – 11th of September 2012. A Whalewatch with a difference today! The strong westerly wind prevented us from heading out of the Sound of Mull so instead we explored Loch Sunart looking for wildlife among the beautiful scenery of Ardnamurchan and Morvern. It was great to have Debby Thorne onboard from the RSPB and the eagles did not disappoint! We saw all 4 members of the local white-tailed eagle family and even saw one of the juveniles getting dive bombed by a golden eagle with talons out… wow! We also saw an otter (before we even left the pontoon!) and witnessed some of our favourite seabirds tackling the wind with ease. The group photo today is taken on the Isle of Carna, Loch Sunart :-)
