Whalewatch Explorer - 31st August 2013
Whalewatch Explorer passengers - 31st of August 2013. Strong winds today meant we had to stay in more sheltered waters but the sun shone for us for most of the trip and we had some great sightings. The highlight was seeing a large basking shark up close almost surfing in the waves! We also saw a white-tailed eagle in flight crossing the Sound whilst getting mobbed by gulls, harbour porpoise, we visited a common seal colony and had some great views of our favourite seabirds including shearwaters, gannets, great skua and kittiwakes
