Whalewatch Explorer - 3rd September 2013
A
windy trip today but some great sightings of three basking sharks
feeding at the surface amongst the chop! As we headed into the Cairns of
Coll for lunch to see the common & grey seals we were followed by a
juvenile white-tailed eagle. We had a great size comparison between the
eagle and a heron flying close by! We also saw harbour porpoise and
plenty of seabird activity. Storm petrels, great skua, Manx shearwaters,
fulmar fly-bys and diving gannets
