Whalewatch Explorer - 10th September 2013
A
grey and rather windy start to the trip but some great sightings
throughout our 7 hours at sea. A minke whale was spotted by a few on
board however after three surfaces we lost track of it, very sneaky! We
headed to our favourite sandy beach at the Cairns for our lunch break
and enjoyed watching the curious seals and had a young white-tailed
eagle flying overhead getting mobbed by gulls. We also saw another 3
white-tailed eagles, harbour porpoise, gannets, fulmars, shearwaters,
great skuas and a couple of great northern divers back from their
breeding grounds
