Common Dolphins - 23rd September 2013
We saw around 15 common dolphins today, this
individual kept leaping clear out of the water almost continuously!

Wildlife Adventure - 23rd September 2013
What an amazing 4 hours… 2 fantastic sightings
of harbour porpoise close to the boat, an otter and 2 white-tailed
eagles in the same field of view, distant golden eagles soaring above
Ardnamurchan, common seals, Arctic tern, divers AND a group of around 15
COMMON DOLPHINS leaping and bow-riding!!
Gannet - 21st September 2013

population breed in the UK!

Whalewatch Explorer - 21st September 2013
After a week spent in more sheltered waters we
headed out to one of our favourite spots and sure enough a MINKE WHALE
surfaced right off our bow! We listened to its powerful blow and watched
it feed along a strong tide line - magic! We also saw harbour porpoise,
3 white-tailed eagles, gannets, Manx shearwaters, guillemots,
razorbills, storm petrels, Arctic skua and had a very inquisitive bonxie
follow Sula Beag. We also visited the Cairns of Coll to watch the
common & grey seals

Wildlife Adventure - 20th September 2013
A
great encounter with around 25 Common Dolphins today which included a
healthy number of calves and juveniles. Harbour Porpoise showing well
including some rare underwater views of the animals. A White-tailed
Eagle was seen soaring over the tiered Mull landscape. Common and Grey
Seals were also viewed and today's sea birds included Gannets,
Kittiwakes and Guillemots.
Wildlife Adventure - 18th September 2013
Sunshine,
showers and lots of beautiful rainbows today! We had a couple of
porpoise sightings including some individuals surfing in the waves, good
numbers of common seals at one of our local colonies, a herd of red
deer on Ben Hiant getting ready for the rut, great skua, gannets,
guillemots, kittiwakes

Good weather for Seals! No trips today but here is a Harbour Seal in moult which we saw earlier in the week.
Minke Whale - 14th September 2013
One of the whales seen today! We believe this is Wrinkle, a whale seen at least 5 times this year. (Other
photos of the whale's left side show the distinctive 'wrinkles'!)
Whalewatch Explorer - 14th September 2013
We found TWO MINKE WHALES today!! They were
feeding together along a strong tide line and as we were drifting they
surfaced close by several times giving us all fantastic views. We also
stopped by the Cairns of Coll which were looking stunning in the
sunshine. Other sightings include three white-tailed eagles, harbour
porpoise, common & grey seals, Manx shearwaters, great skua, great
northern diver, kittiwakes and gannets

Wildlife Adventure - 13th September 2013
Some
distant views of Porpoise seen today on a lovely flat calm sea state.
Gannets and Shearwater were seen out in the open grounds along with
Guillemots and Razorbills. On the way back in the sun came out and we
enjoyed a pair of White-tailed Eagles sat up in the conifers and a
Peregrine Falcon taking flight heading across the Sound of Mull to the
mainland side. Common and Grey Seals were showing well at our local
colony to finish off the trip.

Wildlife Adventure - 11th September 2013 2:00pm
Wildlife
Adventure passengers - 11th of September 2013, 2pm. More great
sightings this afternoon including a basking shark!! It's been around a
week since our last sighting of one so very good to see they are still
about. Also fantastic views of 2 white-tailed eagles (one of which flew
right alongside us!), harbour porpoise, common & grey seals, an
Arctic skua harassing a kittiwake and great northern divers

Adventure passengers - 11th of September 2013, 9.30am. Lovely views of
harbour porpoise was the highlight on this morning's trip with 2 small
groups showing well against a misty Ardnamurchan. We also saw common
& Atlantic grey seals, bonxies, great northern diver, storm petrel,
Manx shearwaters and diving gannets
Whalewatch Explorer - 10th September 2013
A
grey and rather windy start to the trip but some great sightings
throughout our 7 hours at sea. A minke whale was spotted by a few on
board however after three surfaces we lost track of it, very sneaky! We
headed to our favourite sandy beach at the Cairns for our lunch break
and enjoyed watching the curious seals and had a young white-tailed
eagle flying overhead getting mobbed by gulls. We also saw another 3
white-tailed eagles, harbour porpoise, gannets, fulmars, shearwaters,
great skuas and a couple of great northern divers back from their
breeding grounds
Whalewatch Explorer - 9th September 2013
Glorious
sunshine and incredible visibility today. The highlight was 2 pods of
common dolphins! We were with the first 50 for around half an hour
watching them feed amongst gannets & shearwaters and then play
around us. Just as we were leaving the area we were joined by another
30+ dolphins that headed straight for our bow and travelled with us for
some time… wow! We also spent a happy hour at the Cairns of Coll
watching the common seals in the sunshine and 2 white-tailed eagles
flying over our heads. Whilst at the Cairns we took a moment to remember
Sula and celebrate her life... boy would she have loved this trip!
Whalewatch Explorer - 8th September 2013
A
beautiful day spent exploring a patch we've not visited for a while. We
headed north around Ardnamurchan and towards the Isles of Eigg &
Muck with amazing visibility and stunning views. Along the way we had
several porpoise sightings including one special encounter with a
particularly playful group who stayed with us while we drifted amongst
them. Also sea eagle, common seals, Arctic skua following the boat,
bonxie, gannets, fulmars, shearwaters, guillemots and razorbills

A very sunny day in Tobermory - hence all the
squinting faces! Some brilliant sightings today including peregrine
falcon, lots of common seals at our local colony, 2 pairs of
white-tailed eagles sat in the same binocular view, lovely views of
harbour porpoise including seeing 2 underwater and a golden eagle
getting mobbed by 4 ravens
Wildlife Adventure - 4th September 2013
A group of 6-7 harbour porpoise surfing in the
sunshine was enjoyed by all on board. Another highlight was golden and
white-tailed eagles interacting on the wing displaying a battle of
Britain's two top predators as the
golden eagle performed territorial sky dancing after the duel. common
and grey seals were showing in healthy numbers hauled out on the
shoreline. Sea birds included diving gannets, shearwater, arctic terns,
fulmars, kittiwakes, guillemots and shags.
Whalewatch Explorer - 3rd September 2013
A
windy trip today but some great sightings of three basking sharks
feeding at the surface amongst the chop! As we headed into the Cairns of
Coll for lunch to see the common & grey seals we were followed by a
juvenile white-tailed eagle. We had a great size comparison between the
eagle and a heron flying close by! We also saw harbour porpoise and
plenty of seabird activity. Storm petrels, great skua, Manx shearwaters,
fulmar fly-bys and diving gannets

Wildlife
Adventure passengers – 1st of September 2013. Another blowy day on Mull
but a great 4 hours spent exploring the sheltered waters of the Sound
and the beautiful scenery of Loch Sunart. We visited 2 common seal
colonies, saw a white-tailed eagle perched on a rocky crag, 2 Arctic
skuas, great skua, terns, razorbill & guillemots with their chicks,
kittiwakes and gannets.

Whalewatch
Explorer passengers - 31st of August 2013. Strong winds today meant we
had to stay in more sheltered waters but the sun shone for us for most
of the trip and we had some great sightings. The highlight was seeing a
large basking shark up close almost surfing in the waves! We also saw a
white-tailed eagle in flight crossing the Sound whilst getting mobbed by
gulls, harbour porpoise, we visited a common seal colony and had some
great views of our favourite seabirds including shearwaters, gannets,
great skua and kittiwakes
